Why Journal

Why Journal

Listen to your dreams and keep a journal – why

Those who keep a journal will notice that they find huge benefit from it. They find solutions to problems and write memoirs for later reflections.

When you write rather than simply textor type into the laptop, you join your subconscious mind and your superconscious mind too. This is where your real power is held. In fact, if you write with your less dominant hand you are also tuning in to your inner child and there’s incredible power stored in your child-likeness, not to mention your original innocence. It’s a power house most people never tap into. A resourceof infinite possibilities.

Keeping a journal will increase creativity, assist professional learning and spiritual ascension because you are making time for you. Your personal growth, determination, motivation and discipline, commitment to self and your one-ness.

With the law of attraction in mind when you write about the days and moments which bring you great joy you will create more of the same. Detailing your emotions such as happiness, hope, love, loving kindness, acceptance, intuition, peace, trust, friendly and intimate connections will deepen and enhance those experiences.

Without writing those special occasions down they meld into other moments and all seems to become one. Some would say a blur, as one day blends in with another.

Often by writing things down that have triggered you, you may see a pattern. When you recognise what may be a problem you are often on the way to resolution. Often having resolved over half of thesituation.

Journaling creates a safe space for reflection to establish where and what your patterns are, or karmic cycles –perhaps of your family, your ancestors and so on.

Karmic cycles are often repeated infamilies. There may be a pattern of bereavement, loss, betrayal, illness, divorceand separation through several generations.

Journaling promotes wisdom, a word which is rarely used these days, and promotes a deeper thinking process.Writing about your desires, dreams, intentions and commitments makes them feelreal. You are tuning in to your hearts desires and listening to the whispers of your soul. The more you listen the more you’ll find that they will speak to you.

Vague thinking creates vague results.Clarity of thought leads to improved actions and ultimately mastery. It is theDNA of mastery and a journal will keep you focused. (Robin Sharma).

Some suggested questions you may wishto ask are

What must happen over the coming hoursfor this day to be well lived? This could change to a year, month or week.

Maybe ask and how can life get betterthan this?

Where can I improve my well-being?This is in terms of mental, spiritual, physical and emotional.

Some people say that if they are feeling upset or lost, fed up and/or maybe depressed, that they allow thirty minutes daily to sit and mope with those feelings. After this they get on withtheir day. Shaking out your arms and legs, and your general body out will prevent these thoughts being absorbed in the cellular memory. Our bodies doindeed keep a score of our stress and tension, things which upset us and unlesswe release it regularly it will continue to build resulting in physical symptoms and possible pain.

A great shake off provides a betterre-set to the current moment. It prevents those undesirable thoughts consumingand lingering throughout the day.

We all procrastinate but if we choseto make an allotted time to surrender to those feelings we can acknowledgethem, rather than suppressing and repressing them.

What three small wins can I accomplishtoday to make things better than yesterday?

It will raise your focus dramaticallyand improves your will power as it gives you a focal point. If all people understood the need to be more determined and realised the power of their timeand energy people would live more mindfully.

Time is indeed your most precious asset. It cannot be bought, your unable to make it last and it certainly cannot put it on a credit card.

By carefully reflecting on how youwish to create your outcomes, your performance and motivation becomes moresolid, concentrated and successful.

Journaling increases artistic potential and captures peak ideas.

A great idea not noted will be lost in the ether. Brene Brown states that if you don’t grab it, your ideas will passto another person. Writing down your insights will deepen your understanding but also facilitate greater ones too.

It will help resolve problems more easily too. Often writing down challenges opens other doorways, or being open towider opportunities at least to peace.

Journaling encourages you to recognise and really embrace magical moments in life.

A magnificent meal with cooked and prepared with love, seeing a great friend that you really connect with and appreciate, a special bird such as the kingfisher, sharing a celebratory dinner, the completion of a desired project, whether small or large, decorating a room, completing a garden project or preparing a dinner party.

It brings you into the magical moments of grace, appreciation, joy and the gratitude for loving connections. It will embed the memory into your body, mind and soul so that you will automatically create more of the same. Law of attraction once more.

Psychologist Sonja Lyubomirsky found through her research that the happiest people are not the ones with the easiest circumstances. (Only 10% of one’s happiness is due to external reality she hasdiscovered), but the ones with the most gratitude. Their appreciation is not random, rather a deliberate gratitude.

Your journal is an excellent place tolist the blessings in your life deliberately and regularly, so that thenegativity bias of the human brain becomes rewired for unbeatable positivity.

Journaling is also prayer on paper

Prayers are a powerful manifesting tool for your idea and ideals. Each and every prayer is heard by your higher self and every thanksgiving makes you stronger, wiser and more tranquil.

Write down what you seek and record what you want to see in your world. Create it… What you focus on really will grow and what you think about will expand. One thought can lead you down awhole new path, it can open your heart and mind to new possibilities.

Journaling gives you a safe space for processing and healing

Suppressed emotional pain will keep rearing itself. When you journal it you are joining your subconscious and superconscious mind so you can more fully heal and understand.

Writing about your hurts provides you with a safe space to heal it. Or at least to begin the journey. To heal the wound you need to feel the wound. To let go of a cut you have to do the inner work on yourself to clear and clean it. You may be interested to look into the work of Gabor Mate.
