Accepting and Welcoming Change
Accepting change and welcoming it into our life’s takes effort and consistency.
I love this quote. The wisdom hereis touching.
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that weare powerful beyond measure. It is our light – not our darkness that most frightens us. Your playing small does not serve the world, there’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that people won’t feel insecure aroundyou. We were all meant to shine as children. It’s not just in some of us, it’s in everyone, and, as we let our own light shine we unconsciously give others permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, ourpresence automatically liberates others”.
Marianne Williamson
Are you seeking change? I hope this article/blog helps you.
These questions may help you to choose how willing you are to dedicate your time, your energy and your resources to invest in YOU. An even better version of you.
When I first work with someone there are a few questions I ask to ascertain where they are on their personal journey of awareness. You may like to consider the following;
On a scale of 0 – 10 how willing are you to accept and embrace change?
How easy has change been for you previously?
On a scale of 0-10 how aware are you of what you want?
What will unlocking your potential look like?
Do you feel there is anything that is blocking you?
All holistic therapies aim to bring wholeness and balance; emotionally, spiritually, physically and mentally. Balance of the body, mind and soul. They are not separate. By respecting and understanding ourselves we can achieve balance and welcome change.
It may be worth drawing a circle which might represent 100% of you. Then feel where your strengths and weaknesses are regarding the four aspects of you; mentally, spiritually, physically and emotionally.
Decide what percentage you have for each. They should all add up to 100.
Ideally each should be 25%, but using the illustration you can see which are more or less dominant.
This is your personal growth and reflection. It is all about YOU. It is a process of observation and patient understanding. It will take you on an inner journey to understand and embrace all of what makes you – your unique self.
I suggest that you take time to write how you can better and maintain each of the aspects. For example you might feel more spiritually fulfilled when you meditate, pray, connect to nature, spend time with loved ones who appreciate you, practise yoga, pilates, T’ai Chi, journal, be creative, dance, sing, write and/or read poetry, etc.
Mentally you may feel you would like to be more present, rather than considering the past or the future too much. The pastis there to be learnt from for sure, but by being aware of where you focus your energy you’ll be able to recognise whatever, or perhaps whoever, is no longer serving you.
To maintain mental health you might like to take a walk in nature, you may like to draw, sketch, journal, read, play Scrabble or do crosswords. There are a variety of natural supplements such as Emergency Essence Jan de Vries, Lions Mane, Turkey Tail, ashwagandha and rhodiola if you are stressed.
Consider how you balance your emotions.
Are you easily triggered?
How much energy do you give away to your emotions?
Which are the main emotions you experience daily?
Are they serving you?
How do you cope with them?
Journaling the above can help – especially if you write with your less dominant hand.
Being in nature and shaking the arms and legs with the intention to shake out those emotions which are no longer serving you.You may wish to look up cellular memory.
Be honest with yourself about how physically well you are.
Do you drink between 2-3 litres of healthy filtered water daily?
Do you feel healthy?
Do you eat healthy?
Are you aware of the difference between alkaline and acidic blood?
Do you exercise?
Are you overweight?
Do you consume alcohol?
Do you smoke or vape?
Can you allow yourself to rest?
How well do you sleep?
CONGRATULATIONS. You have just taken your first step in personal development, self-awareness and commitment to your personal inner journey. I wish you good luck. Sacred love and many blessings.
